Quarterly newsletter, Volume 2 - July 2007 What’s New @ ICCO ICCO and independent auditor DNV are setting up a global framework contract to simplify the process of CMS certification and to ensure consistency across different markets. DNV has a global network of some 7000 employees in more than 100 countries and has been managing risk since the 1860s. They perform cross-industry certification for standards (including ISO) and boast an impressive list of blue-chip clients. A global contract would allow ICCO members, among other things, to: draw from a pre-approved list of local auditors; apply standardised pricing; and enjoy centralised administration, including the issue of certificates and prompts for renewals. This avoids the hassle for members of reinventing extensive contracts from the home countries. The Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) is an internationally recognised standard of professionalism encompassing all categories of agency management. It offers a quality guarantee to clients as well as confidence to businesses and is an exclusive benefit to ICCO membership. Currently some 200 firms in 10 countries hold CMS or CMS II certification.
