The PRCA of the UK will hold its annual national conference on June 11 at the Landmark London Hotel. The theme this year is: "Tradigital PR - blending today's environment and your reputation". According to the otganisers,
 
PR is a particularly exciting industry to be a part of at the moment. Reputation has never been more highly prized or more vulnerable. Technology has changed both the business of marketing and the business of reputation. Today if your actions and messages contradict each other then your reputation is more likely than ever to suffer as a result. Advertising, internal communication and PR all have to reinforce each other. Companies need to be consistent from their supply chain through to after-sales service. Organisations and individuals have learnt this the hard way. Customers are increasingly selective about who they trust.
 
While this is great for the PR industry, it brings its own challenges. A growing industry has led to a shortage of experienced talent. Digital is blurring the lines between PR and advertising. Campaigns that aren't integrated increasingly risk highlighting conflicting messages.
 
The PRCA National Conference will focus on how traditional PR needs to position itself in a digital age.
